Hello from JENCO CREATIVE! 2019 has been a big year of change and transition for me and Mood Board Mondays fell by the wayside. But I’ve decided I’m not going to wait for the “New Years resolution” to bring them back. December is the perfect time to jump back in and share the mood of the wintery holidays.
This year I made the move to Portland, Oregon after spending 20 years of my life living in the awesome city of Los Angeles. It’s been a big lifestyle change and I’m grateful everything settled into place so quickly. The biggest shake up has been the change in weather. I now live with “seasons.” It’s pretty easy to gripe about the cold – having spent my entire life in Southern California. However I’m doing my best to embrace the change in lifestyle that comes with the changing of seasons.
So here I am embracing COZY. I sip on hot drinks – my new brunch favorite being a Morrocan coffee. I live in a home with a fireplace, I own more sweaters than I have in my entire life and I make soups in the crockpot. One perk of winter hibernation is that I find myself being creative and making things. It’s a perfect excuse to stay out of the elements and to enjoy painting my ceramics or working on my cross stitch project.
My new winters are turning out to be cozy AND creative. What are your seasonal routines? I hope you have a few of your own that you got to enjoy over the long holiday weekend.
